Alexander House Financial Services Ltd chooses Total Systems Ltd to build 'Smart Alex' protection portal

Total Systems plc, the innovative technology company, is providing the Protection Portal for Alexander House Financial Services Ltd, the new National Advisory business being launched by Nick Kelly and Jane Hodges, who is launching the first new multi-channel proposition including Virtual advisers, FTF, telephone and self-serve solutions for its customers.

Jane Hodges, Chief Operating Officer at AHFS:

We chose Total Systems for several reasons. Firstly, they have a similar culture to us and want to see more protection sales to people who need it and recognise that there is a shrinking number of advisers prepared to deal with non-investment business. Secondly we know their software is designed for growth and we have exciting plans for the future. Thirdly, we appreciated their flexible and creative approach as we really want to deliver something new and exciting. Most importantly, we believe that the partnership not only gives us confidence in the technology, but also that the team at Total Systems will contribute ideas and new solutions that will mean we will deliver a best in class solution that is essential to drive trust back into the market

Terence Bourne, Managing Director of Total Systems, says:

Alexander House will be a breath of fresh air to the market. They are committed to using market leading technology to deliver trusted and transparent advice to their customers and we are proud to be working with them

Total Systems recognised a huge gap for consumers, in that it is very easy for people to compare quotes for life insurance on line but, for more comprehensive protection insurance, there are no really flexible tools to help the customer understand the options available and get an idea of price. So Total Systems configured their bluescape business application, which covers any line of business, to support protection products for AHFS. The Portal provides a new way to allow consumers and brokers to compare any combination of life, critical illness and income protection cover instantly from a panel of Insurers to ensure consumers can get personalised cover that is exactly right for their circumstances and their budget. Alexander House recognised this as a real fit with their objective in delivering the best advice for their customers.
